Long story really short:
I gave birth to our first son just over four years ago. Since then we've wanted desperately to see our family grow. The idea of me bearing a sibling for Finlay became woven into every fibre of my body making what happened next that much more difficult to process. We assumed I'd carry baby number two and proceeded with two donor insemination cycles, but when we slowed down long enough to really listen, we were both caught off guard by the sound of my wife's own biological clock ticking away.
The steady tick tock of my own clock screamed against the competing rhythm. This wasn't part of the plan.
Two wombs, two years, eight IUIs and one heartbreaking loss later we're finally at 15 weeks of Kristen's pregnancy. The expansion plan is coming together! We have baby #2 on the way!
